Jeremy Dye - Head Boys Track and Cross Country Coach
Coach Dye is beginning his 17th year of coaching and teaching. He started running cross country at Brazoswood High school and went on the run for Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas State University where he was the 1998 Southland Conference Steeplechase Champion and named All-Conference in cross country and track 9 times. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Texas State and was hired full time. He coached at Texas State for three years, moved to Sharpstown Middle School and was the head boys track coach for two years. He then became head boys track and cross country coach at Kempner High School in Sugar Land for four years. Kempner’s girls and boys cross country teams won 6 district titles during Coach Dye’s tenure. He spent the next five years as the first assistant coach at Seven Lakes High School. At Seven Lakes the track team won back to back district titles and the cross country team won 2 district titles, 2 regional titles and were state runner-ups. In 2010 Coach Dye was named the Gulf Coast Scholastic Track Coaches Association’s Assistant Coach of the Year. He is USATF Level II Certified in Endurance Events, Sprints, Hurdles, Relays and Jumping events. Coach Dye has been married to his wife, Leslie for 14 years and they have two children, Clara and Charlie.

Amy Pitzel - Head Girls Track and Cross Country Coach
Coach Pitzel ran track, cross country, and played soccer in high school where she was part of a State Championship soccer team. Her passion is now running and she has completed 9 full marathons. Coach Pitzel was the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track coach at Katy Taylor for 8 years and has coached many state and regional qualifiers. Her biggest accomplishment has been being named Brooks’ Most Inspiring Coach in 2011. She is excited to lead the Girls’ Track & Field and Cross Country teams at Tompkins and to create a tradition of excellence. Coach Pitzel opened Tompkins in 2013. She has coached a number of great distance runners including Kansas and Texas standout Austin Bussing and Texas State middle distance star Aisha Graham. She has been married to her husband Jason for 13 years and they have two children, Mathias and Josie.

Corey Adams - Shot and Discus Coach
Coach Adams is also the Offensive Coordinator for the football program and will handle both the boys and girls' throwing events for his 4th year at Tompkins. Coach Adams had several regional qualifiers last year including David Perry who shattered the school record in the shot put with a toss of 54-7.5.

Kenneth Decuir - Jumps Coach
Coach Decuir is a 1993 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School in New Iberia, LA. Decuir qualified for the Louisiana State Track and Field Championship twice in his high school career. While competing for New Iberia Senior High School, Decuir placed 4th at the 1992 Junior Olympics with a jump of 7’0”.Decuir continued his passion for high jump at McNeese University. At McNeese, he was elected 4 times as an Academic All-Southland Conference Recipient. Decuir had
much success on the track as a member of 2 time All- Southland Conference Track and Field Teams. Decuir’s dedication and hard work paid off; his mark of 7’2.25” ranked him in the top 25 in the nation. Decuir has coached volleyball, football, basketball, and track.

David Yeager - Pole Vault
Coach Yeager is in his second year as the coach of the pole vaulters at Tompkins. Last year he led junior Ben Percefull to a district championship, regional runner-up and 5th place finish at the state meet. Coach Yeager and his wife, Julie, are expecting their first child.

Kalief Muhammad - Sprint Coach
Coach Muhammad is in his second year as the sprints coach at Tompkins. Coach Muhammad helped the Falcons sweep all three medals in the 100m dash, win the 200m dash and the 400m dash at district and area. He played an instrumental part in the 4x400m relay winning the district title, getting sliver at regionals with the 8th fastest time in the nation (3:13.79) and finishing 5th at the state meet. Coach Muhammad's son Taurean is joining the team as a freshmen this year and his son Dakarri matriculates at the University of Oregon.
